I love to explore stores in my area. I have found a few that are really great and some that I will never go to again!
The ethnic stores have been a great find for me! The local Asian food store has great produce the my husband loves like Chinese Broccoli, baby bok choy, fresh bean sprouts. Also many types of tofu, baked, fried, flavored, and soft. If you are not a fan of these things, check out the meat dept! The ground beef and pork was almost half the cost of my regular grocery store and it was also much fresher. Chicken in all shapes and forms was very cheap too. Don't be afraid to pick up spices and sauces to experiment with.
